00Welcome to Battery Insiders, your podcast providing you insights in the fascinating world of batteries. Hosted by Bhavya Jha and Simon Engelke. And we're back. Welcome back, everybody. Today we've got just me and Simon today. We're super, super amped coming up on Battery Day here. We just had a great conversation with the folks on Clubhouse to get their feedback, hear some of their thoughts. And how are you feeling, Simon? It's a big week. Feeling great. Yeah, it's exciting days ahead. I'm very excited for Thursday. You know, it's our annual Battery Day. It's something we started last year and now it's the second time. And yeah, it's just super exciting, you know, all coming together. As we also discussed and spoke about in the Clubhouse session we have now people from all across industries, really. Really exciting from, you know, we have kicking off with like a nice summary of the entire year on batteries. Then we have a panel on the battery passport. It's going to be super exciting and all the way from raw materials to in-use to recycling.
09And then we have a battery data panel and we have got like four of the leading companies in this space. We got, we got twice, we'll take, we have to get diagnostics and cure. So it's really like all of the four I know of, like who are really quite vocal and have been doing some exciting work there. So that's going to be really exciting. It's like a showdown of all these amazing founders. And then we have a lot of networking sessions, which is great. And we have solid-state batteries with Stordord and Polestar and Oliver Wyman and research from UCL. And we have training diversity, which of course is one of our important topics as well. And then a bit of an outlook with James Swift and Bloomberg Neff and others. And all of it is free. So, you know, there's no excuse at all to not be there on Thursday and really dig into it and meet each other, you know, learn, inspire, et cetera.
00What do you think? I mean, you're also part of it. Sounds like we have a number of reasons that anyone listening should attend. Spread the word. We had a really nice conversation on Clubhouse. I think if those weren't reasons enough, you know, huge networking opportunity, huge learning opportunity, huge opportunity to tap into what's going on in the battery world, then, you know, it is free. Like Simon said, there is really no excuse. But we had a couple of nice thoughts, I think, on the Clubhouse about why you should join. You know, for me personally, from someone not coming from what I categorized initially as a non-battery expertise, I think, well, I've come to realize first off that batteries are so interdisciplinary that no matter what you do in the world, it matters. It connects to batteries. And I think it's been a great opportunity for me to tap into the conversation and also just grow as someone who hopes to be, you know, continuing to work in the space.
01And I think we had a few others on Clubhouse who mentioned the same thing, that it's really opened doors for them. And, you know, a couple of our core, core team members were folks who just decided they were going to speak on the last at the last battery day and hop in. And next thing you know, they are, you know, working so closely with you and trying to make this mission come true. And I think that right there is the essence of Battery Associates and what we do, what we stand for. It's not, there's, there's no, there's no gatekeeping. It's come, come on, come join us. The conversation's happening and we're looking forward to having you. So I hope that those of you listening take a moment to tap into our conversation on Thursday. Yeah. And as you say, it's really about, you know, demystifying it, breaking on the silos and, you know, really creating these platforms. And for me personally, it's so exciting because, you know, I mean, I know there's a lot of these kind of players, you know, individually and they're like their own events and they're talking, et cetera.
00But really trying to bring them all together and really, yeah, just like really, you know, have these really frank discussions on, you know, the opportunities, but also the challenges, but also really make it more approachable as well. Right. I think as we discussed a lot before, this space is growing so fast. There's so many opportunities in this space. It doesn't really matter what background you have. There's probably something you can do. And like, just kind of, you know, showing this and make it like accessible. That's also really, I'm really grateful to all the sponsors, right. To stepping in, to make sure we can make it for free. And of course there's a paid option as well. And we got like VIP, et cetera. But, you know, I mean, essentially every part of the event is for free. So if you're not, you're not in need of the recordings or if you don't need the VIP networking, you know, it's, it's, it's free for everyone. So I think that's also really important because there's lots of amazing events.
46I'm fortunate to also attend, but they're behind a quite sometimes hefty paywall and being able to, you know, make all of these amazing knowledge and insights available for free globally. I think that's something really, which I'm personally very excited for. So you, I guess, can tell. Well, I'll let you keep some secrets about what is coming up on Thursday to yourself so that there is a little bit of suspense on what we are going to be presenting. I think, uh, other than that, I hope that those of you joining today will join us on Thursday and we look forward to seeing you there. See you there, Bavia. Speak soon. See you. Bye.
